Chase Art History Library The Chase Art History Library is non-circulating special collections library supporting the advanced research on the history of the arts, archaeology, anthropology and history of the Americas with concentration in the areas of Pre-Columbian Mesoamerica and South America, Native America, Spanish Colonial art and architecture, and Latin American, West European and North American art of the 20th and 21st centuries. Researchers from the community wishing research support to access materials requiring professional reference assistance are strongly encouraged to contact the Art Librarian to set up an appointment. |

Marion Center for Photographic Arts The Anne and John Marion Center for Photographic Arts is housed in a remarkable building designed by internationally renowned architect, Ricardo Legorreta. The curriculum and programs of the Center are devoted to concentrations in studio, history, and curatorial studies. The Center contains a wide range of specialized darkrooms, an alternative process studio, a digital studio, seminar/conference rooms, multi-purpose class rooms, a preservation studio, and framing and finishing studios. Newhall Library The Beaumont and Nancy Newhall Library is a special collections non-circulating library ranked as one of the top informational resources in the United States for conducting research in the history and the aesthetics of photography. The core library collections are comprised of the private research libraries of Beaumont and Nancy Newhall and James Enyeart and Roxanne Malone, the James L. Enyeart Archives, several smaller collections from notable photographers, scholars, collectors and interested individuals, and by the sponsorship of Aperture Foundation, Twin Palms Publishers / Twelve Trees Press, Photo Eye Bookstore and members of the Marion Center Circle. To ensure preservation and maintenance, the Beaumont and Nancy Newhall and James Enyeart and Roxanne Malone collections are housed in a secured stacks area. Environmental conditions in this area are carefully monitored to insure a stable temperature and humidity within ranges appropriate for the preservation of special materials. |

Santa Fe Art Institute The Santa Fe Art Institute offers artist and writer residencies to national, international, emerging and mid-career artists. SFAI provides open studio visits on a bi-monthly basis for the CSF and Santa Fe community to explore what resident artists have been creating. The SFAI also offers master workshops and lectures on contemporary art issues. CSF students are eligible for workshop scholarships. Internships and volunteer opportunities allow students to become involved in one of the most exciting contemporary art spaces in the Southwest. Visual Resources Center The Visual Resources Center (VRC) is located in the Thaw Art History Center, in CSF's Visual Arts Center. The VRC has holdings of approximately 40,000 art and architecture slides, which are in the process of being digitized. The collections are used to support the classroom and research needs of art department faculty, staff, and students at CSF. |
